Kevin O’Leary Is a good complement to Donald Trump. Also Kevin might run for Conservative party leader in Canada. Both are crazy billionaires. Putin and Trump are similar. Both crazy and rich.
@RedDeerGuy1 I don’t know if you read the detail. He would wipe you out if you’re against him and his ideas. So you want that?
By the way you must think O’Leary is horrid plus.
@flo Sorry I didn’t read your link.
@RedDeerGuy1 I posted the quotes from the link
And there’s more:
“This was not the first time Mr Trump has been complimentary about an enemy of the US. He recently accepted praise from Vladimir Putin, returning the sentiment by saying it was a “great honour to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond”.
@flo It could take Nixon to go to China.
Richard Nixon died in 1994.
I’m not a Drumpf fan but I will say he did reveal two things. Republicans can no longer claim to be the religious right and that Republican politicians will, (as my nephew puts it), sell their right nut, their mama and sacrifice baby Jesus, and praise the devil to keep their job.
All the people who said such horrible things about Trump being the devil are lining up to kiss his bum.
As for his fans I don’t think they believe in anything. Much less facts.
If I had to make an assessment….Trump sees N. Korea and Russia as a freaking gold mine…..but he will control his enthusiasm until his coronation is official.
I always got the feeling that putin would kick the shit out of trump if he ever met him lol
Admiring one’s enemy is absolutely nothing new.
In order for Trump to admire an individual he must at least know something about him or her.
Anyone’s argument that Trump is stupid is therefore invalid.
Also, it doesn’t require the biggest wad of brains to know that a dyed in the wool hardcore capitalist such as Trump couldn’t possibly “support” North Korea. Though wouldn’t it be beneficial to all if Trump could use his talent to turn North Korea into the next South Korea?
But hey, isn’t the Internet a better experience with all conversations about Trump being emotional, heavily biased rants disguised as questions or barely logical comments?
@RedDeerGuy1
The Vulcan saying is “Only Nixon could go to China.”
One should know and respect one’s enemies and what they’re capable of.
@Darth_Algar Sorry I had to laugh at the image of what Putin and Kim Jan Doodle whatever are thinking right now anticipating possibly having to meet with the Donald in the near future to make deals. Respect is the furthest thing I imagine.
@Cruiser
Oh shit, I thought this thread was about what Trump thinks of Putin and Kim Jong Un, not the other way around.
Spin.
The essence of Trump’s statement: “North Korea should be taken seriously as a threat, if it’s ruthless leader is any indication.”
The Telegraph’s statement: Trump had something positive to say about Jong-un, therefore Trump is evil by association.”
Big Irony Department:
The “Statesman Trump will obviously be exactly like Campaigner Trump” set criticizes Trump for engaging in an exchange of pleasantries with Putin, when this is precisely one of the things that quality negotiators do.
Please note:
This is not an endorsement of Trump 2016. Rather, I feel that in all of Fluther history I have never seen so much blind distaste for a subject cause logical critical analysis to fly out the window.
@SecondHandStoke The anti-Trump have ”... our *blind distaste ...? Are you trying to be funny? blind” is the word that corresponds perfectly to pro (openly or not) Trumpers ^^ I see a lot of pro Trumpers are embarrased enough (which at least is something) to claim not to be pro Trumpers. You can tell by how much they they put down Cruz for example. They spin and spin and twist and twist.
^ Sooo…
No direct reply to my comment as it relates to the OP?
@SecondHandStoke I did respond to it, by quoting you, even, .... “blind distate…”
And your “Admiring one’s enemy is absolutely nothing new.” means absolutely nothing . Nothing new does not equal good or okay, somewhat okay etc. I can go on but my last post covers it all.
Last Week Tonight?
No wonder you cannot see what I’m talking about.
I think I have a new subject to add to my Do Not Debate list.
You can’t debate what John Oliver is saying @ SecondHandStoke?
@SecondHandStoke But anyway how about my post previuous to that?
