Can somebody help me remember a young adult 90's film?
My sister and I are trying to remember a film we both watched on VHS in the mid 90s. It has a team of boys late teens to early 20s who compete in a relay race or obstacle course. I want to say jeep or go-kart. Mostly set in a wooded area. A girl joins the team and they don’t think much of her to start. There is an accidental death, I think, on the obstacle course. I’d really appreciate the help. Thank you!

No. It was early to mid ninties. One guy i think falls off some kind of structure for an obstacle course and dies.
Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone? I doubt it, since you said nothing about Sci-fi, but that’s the only somewhat relevant sounding movie I could find.
Neither of those ones. Thank you, though. The scene I remember the most is the guy falling off and dying or coma at the very least. I know this is maddening i know it does exist. My sister confirms my memory of the film.
I think you might be conflating two or more films in your head.

OK, this is a challenge I’d like to take on, mostly because it sounds faintly familiar and I was raised by television.
Is there anything else you can tell us? What the main character looked like, what any other characters looked like? It would be super helpful if you could place one actor in the film.
Sounds like a Disney Channel movie to me – perhaps your parents had taped it off the television? We did that a lot in the ‘90s.
I agree that more info about the actors/characters might help. Since there was only one female character, maybe you can describe her for us?
I thought that, too, but the closest I could find in Disney/ABC movies was Motocrossed, where a girl twin takes her brother’s place in a Motocross race after he breaks his leg.
Then I started a blind search for all race-related dramas in the 80s and 90s. I found something that sounded really similar, but it was filmed in Italian and never released in the US, and was a comedy (albeit a dark comedy).
Unfortunately, without more to go on I’m lost. We don’t even know what decade the movie was made, since all we know is it was on a VHS tape in the mid-90s. Everything was on VHS in the 90s.
I think the Motocrossed one was the one I first thought of, too – but it seemed like the Disney Channel put out so many movies with the same theme back then (and probably still).
Sure. Motocrossed, Brink, that one with the kid from Malcolm in the Middle. The X Games were popular at the time.
My sister says it was a bicycle race, like BMX racing. She is sure. We used to rent it from the grocery store when we went on vacation to Pine Hollow, Oregon. I can be sure that the year is going to be before 1996. I have no idea of any actors or anyone involved. Id be having a much easier time with this if i did. It’s not Rad.
