I mean what is the list that comes to most people’s minds immediately? My guess is race, religion, ....you continue. So, you have to not look it up.

“Protected class” refers to laws spelling out who is included when discrimination is banned.
The Americans with Disabilities Act spells out who is covered. The Civil Rights Act covers race and religion. The Fair Housing Act specifies. Etc.
Age, sex, race, religion, ability, national origin, sexual orientation.
Americans as a society have been pretty good at marginalizing groups.
Income. Some people consider people on welfare as sub-human, and many people consider the 1%‘rs as sub-human and evil incarnate.
Some protected groups have more rights than basic rights of the rest of us.
@si3tech No, they don’t. They are given a guarantee of equal rights. They cannot be discriminated against for being in a protected group.
Obama’s description “some people are more equal than others.” Which sets them apart.
@si3tech
1)
When did Obama say that?
2)
How does that give people superior rights over others. Be specific.
Oops! George Orwell said that.
@si3tech And Orwell was referring to pigs, aka straight white Protestant males under 45 years of age.
