What is your one belief that no one could break no matter how hard they tried?

The belief that I have no beliefs. I rely only on facts, data, and good science.
That care and compassion can make everyone’s world somewhat better, even if it’s just a tiny bit.
That death is inevitable.
I don’t think there is such a thing. Even strong minds have been broken by the psychological pressures that have been known to occur in prison or cult environments. I wouldn’t be at all sure what I might do if subjected to that kind of brainwashing, but I’d bet that I have no beliefs that could stand up to it.
That the sovereign God of the universe desired so much to have a right relationship again with us that He paid the price Himself that we have a way back.
@SQUEEKY2: “Excluding family…” Huh? What do you mean by that?
Correct my mistakes….own them…fix them…all of them.
@canidmajor ”“Excluding family…” Huh? What do you mean by that?”
I second that.
That circumstances are random, not fated.
Excluding family… Huh?
I took that to mean people would protect their family to the end. It’s a given, so for the sake of conversation let’s skip it.
That a civilized society takes care of its disadvantaged.
Exactly @call me jay ,that is why I excluded that.
That Donald Trump is dangerously disqualified from being the Commander in Chief.

Oh. Eh, I wouldn’t.

That I am astral traveling through time.
That most people are as good as they can be.
^ Isn’t everyone, by definition, as good as they can be? If someone decides to “be bad”, isn’t that part of this person’s (low) ability to “be good”?
This may be a separate question.
I think most people WANT to be good, and they’re as good as they can be. But sometimes the urge, or whatever, to be “bad” gets too strong. But they know they’re messing up when they do it. I’m not talking about rapists and stuff. I’m talking about criminals, especially petty criminals, who want to do something different, and know the way they’re doing it is wrong and “bad,” but they don’t know how, I guess. I’m in the process of trying to tutor a young friend of my sons, who was like another son to me, while he does time for the second time. I gave him orders to complete his GED, and he told me he’s started to and dropped out when it came to the math. So I’m trying to help him with that.
I know that he wants to be good, wants to have people respect him and look up to him…he just doesn’t know how to do it.
Whenever I set something“free” out on the curb, if I don’t put a note, then 90% of the time people will come check before they take it. Even if whatever it is, is out of sight of the house.
That love, in the widest sense of the word, is all that matters.
