At what point should I be worried?

I’m 99.9% sure I’m fine, but I’m asking anyway. Please don’t “better safe than sorry” me, because srsly, I know.
I have a minor pain in my chest, left side, right where like the bottom of my heart is.
It’s been there for two days. It’s not bad, more annoying than anything. At first I thought it was gas, but two days? It could also be muscular. I’ve been doing some light weight training and have recently started doing yoga daily.
It’s the location more than the pain that is niggling at me.
So, two days down… it’s not as bad now as it was day one. How long do I wait for it to go away on its own before I go through the whole ER chest pain rigmarole?

I’ve had nagging chest pains which come and go. They were also on the left side near my heart.
I visited the doctor and he issued an ecg, which came back normal. Blood tests also came back normal. He put it down to stress and anxiety.
So if you’ve been stressed more than usual recently, or have been experiencing anxiety I’d think its not serious. Mine went away after a week or so. It hurt when I used to breathe in deeply, or lay on my side for a long period of time (whilst sleeping).
My advice would be to wait another couple of days and take it light and easy. If it still hasn’t gone then go see a doc. Hope this helps.
@MilkyWay – stress and anxiety are kind of my baseline… haha
@Seek Mine too, that’s why the doc asked me if it was more than usual. Only you can judge whether or not the levels are higher than what you usually experience ♡
I’ve had twinging sensations in that area during exercise even as a kid.
Heart checks out fine to this day.

For my 10 cents, I say go see a doctor to at least get piece of mind if nothing else. Women are more likely to not get symptoms of heart disease until it’s too late and when they do, they tend to ignore the little symptoms because they don’t match the usual signs. It could be from the exercising but sometimes exercising can put extra stress on a ailing heart.
My cousin had a physical a few short weeks before he was diagnosed with his heart having a huge block. He had passed his physical and it wasn’t till a few days later his lab work came in and his cholesterol was off the charts. His doctor told him to come in. Then he ran some tests and the revealed he had some blockage and he was sent to a cardiologist, but his doctor didn’t seem too concerned. He thought he caught the blockage early enough. He couldn’t get an appointment till 3 weeks later. When he went to see the cardiologist, he was told that they needed to run some test that day. When it was all done, the doctor asked him if he didn’t have a Will or things in order to go home and do so and come back the next day. He told him, he needed surgery the next day because he had blockage that needed to be clear. All he had was an ache in his back and shortness of breath. He thought it was just from aging. He called his regular doctor and told him what he said and he thought it was ridiculous, and he would call him. He did and the doctor sent him the results of his test. He called him back and told him to go have that surgery asap. It wasn’t till he went in for the surgery that the surgeon showed him his results and said he was seconds away from a massive heart attack. He didn’t understand how he was able to walk around or how his heart was able to work still. He had either 85 or 90 percent blockage. I don’t remember which. After the surgery is was on a strict diet and along with his cholesterol pills, he bought his numbers down really quick. He looked years younger and was full of energy.
But my point is, sometimes your body can be really vague in it’s symptoms. And since you did increase you exercise activity, it would be no harm to get checked.

I too suspect this a minor thing, particularly if you have the ability through manipulating your torso to increase or diminish the pain.
@Rarebear A stitch in the side? When I did the twist, as a kid, I’d get a “stitch” in my side. That’s what we called it anyway.
We do love our resident resident! Even if he has no clue as to why the baby’s poop was pure white.
Well, it was 3 years ago so it don’t matter anyway!
You will know if it is your heart.
Chalk it up to activity. I just started working out when I moved into my mom’s since I have a lot more room here. It took around a day to be sore and it lasted for a few days.
The hoola hoop did it for me.
@Dutchess_III The link broke, sorry
Do a google search for, “What causes white poop in babies”
That’s what I tried to link to.
“Chalky white baby poop could be a warning sign that your baby is not properly digesting food…may indicate a lack of bile from the liver…. .” NOW I know why you didn’t tell me @Rarebear! It might have scared the crap out of us! My daughter just backed off the cows milk that she’d recently introduced him to and proper poop returned.
