What's a show similar to "White Collar"?

Asked by longgone (19764points) May 31st, 2016

I just binge-watched it. What now? I like the relationship between Peter and Neal, rather than the topic of crime. I like that they’re very different, but equally smart and always ready to banter or try to one-up the other. I like “Suits” for the same reason, though White Collar is more interesting to me. In general: Suspense is good, gore is not.

Burn Notice. It’s older, but in my opinion better (at least for the first four seasons).

^ Thanks, I’ll check that out. Age is not an issue.

Love White Collar!

Graceland is a grittier show made by Jeff Eastin, the same guy who made White Collar, so there’s a hint of something familiar in the dynamics. It focuses on a whole house of undercover federal agents, and focuses on how they get along. It’s mostly suspense. Moments of gore related to gang/drug antics—you don’t see the gore—but you see enough leading up to it to imagine it… Still, most of the show is banter and quick-thinking and suspenseful situations, which is enjoyable. (Plus the show’s still going! Airs in the summer.)

Covert Affairs might be another—again, the dynamic between Annie and Auggie isn’t the same as the one between Peter and Neal, but it’s a good dynamic in its own way. (Plus, they’re spies!)
