Is there any reason Apple displays 9:42 A.M. on all their pictures of the iPhone?

So far, a Google search gave me speculations and theories. Do you know of any inside information? Any evidence? Perhaps my fellow Fluterites know something that the rest of the internet doesn’t know yet.

how on earth did you even notice that?
dunno
I know that most analog clock/watches are set to the same time in photographs though, supposedly to create an open face of the dial.
I think this question was posted before on Fluther…
the analog watches show 10:10 usually
As far as. 9:42 and the iPhone, a lot of conjecture online (I did a google search) points in the direction of the actual time when the 1st Gen iPhone was unveiled.
Its like that because it would look generic if it just said 12:00 or could be that somehow it has to do with the number 23 (gasp) u have to see that movie (23) if u haven’t
it’s because it’s not an actual screen shot.
They have to impose the screen image onto the phone to film it. They prolly just use the same template.
Could it have anything to do with the fact that 42 is the meaning of life, the universe and everything?
