What are output options available for dvd player?

Asked by imrainmaker (8380points) June 11th, 2016

What are the different outputs I can connect my dvd player other than tv (like connecting to pc?) and any specific requirement to achieve that? Also if I want to listen to audio only what are the options? Just to be clear it is 7–8 years old model which I have used rarely. Unable to find its user guide hence wanted to check with you guys if anyone is aware already.

The audio out (red and white coax) can be input into any audio device that takes a pre-amp input. You just have to get or make the appropriate cable.

Match the color outputs to the color inputs on TV / monitor. Audio only ^ ^ ^ ^ follow @ARE_you_kidding_me !

My new TV doesn’t have adequate hook ups for DVD, VCR or much of anything else. Most audio and video connections are now made through your Surround Sound amplifier, with single hook ups to TV through a HDMI cable.
