How secure is your banking on your mobile handset?

Not very. I believe most phones lack a fully featured web browser, and therefore lack a way to make secure 128-bit encrypted connections as used with browsers on a PC or otherwise.

i have used the iphone and the symbian web browser. they both are secure and conform to the ssl specifications. in fact both are using webkit.
