Now that the site is working, can we have a party?

Asked by Hawaii_Jake (37748points) June 23rd, 2016

I’ll bring the pancakes

Can someone bring juice and tea and coffee and other goodies?

What kind of music should we have?

Games?

Fun?

Sure! We’re all celebrating, aren’t we? :]

I’m bringing a sponge cake.

I’M sure happy about it, let me tell you!

Let’s party!

Mimishu1995's avatar

What do you want me to bring for you @Mariah and @longgone?

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

I’ll be the designated walker. To make sure everyone gets home safe.

I’ll get us started of with some great party music. Here’s Kool and the Gang: Celebrate
.

.
.
And if we leave it on Autoplay, we get the whole Album. .
.
Then we can switch over to Martha and the Vandellas with Dancin’ in the Streets/Jimmy Mack and leave it on Autoplay for the rest of their Greatest Hits Album

.
I think between those two albums, we are good for the night.

Who remembers the days before mixtapes when we pretty much had to play the whole Album straight thru?

You can tell things are back to normal because the spammers re-appeared!

Hmmmm…whatever shall I bring to the party

Nice job to everyone involved in getting things fixed up!!

janbb's avatar

I hope it’s a formal affair because I’ll be wearing my tux and serving hors d’oeuvres.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

@janbb I like those little sandwiches with pickle slices and cream cheese. Or if the budget will handle caviar. YAH !

Love the Tux.

Coloma's avatar

I’ll bring angel food with fresh strawberries and whipped cream and, but of course, CHAMPAGNE! Yay…things are movin; right along again!

Coloma's avatar

@janbb Don’t forget the Grey Poupon.

BellaB's avatar

Since it’s a beautiful day, I thought we could set up a buffet by the side of the pool.

Bring your tablets/smartphones/laptops and relax.

Coloma's avatar

If you all come over here I have 9 horses we can take out for a ride. Well, okay, two of you get to ride the mules ” Kit & Kat”, or, we can drag out the big red wagon and load up and go for a drive while we all enjoy a cocktail or 4. There’s also a nice pool to hop in after we shower off the trail dust. haha

BellaB's avatar

@Coloma – count me in. It means packing a bit more clothing than I’d planned but a trail ride/drive before the pool sounds brilliant.

Party’s over.
The Clown has arrived.

Coloma's avatar

^ as long as it’s not John Wayne Gacy, we’re good. Somebody check the clowns car for bags of lime.

Stinley's avatar

Let’s party. I could do with cheering up. I’ll bring some fizz (with and without alcohol) and make Champagne cocktails/mocktails

Espiritus_Corvus's avatar

The seafood buffet, the chilled Pinto Grigio and the icy Sangria (of my own concoction) is on me!

Coloma's avatar

I LOVE Pino Gregio, best-summer-wine. :-)

ragingloli's avatar

strawberries, cherries, and an angel’s kiss in spring.

janbb's avatar

I’m loving this party!

Espiritus_Corvus's avatar

Yeah, the Pinto Grigio goes great with the Pinto Beans.

janbb's avatar

What about the Pinot beans?

Mimishu1995's avatar

One thing’s missing: where are the pancakes?

Espiritus_Corvus's avatar

I’ll whip up some seafood crepes with thermidor sauce and put a kink in them. Is that pancakey enough?

Mimishu1995's avatar

Or maybe I’ll bring my own pancakes

Coloma's avatar

Those look delicious @Mimishu1995

Espiritus_Corvus's avatar

@Mimishu1995 Yes, they do look delicious! Are those potato pancakes? Is there a sauce that goes with?

Mimishu1995's avatar

@Espiritus_Corvus that’s not potato. The pancakes are made from a specific rice flour. You pour the flour out and dip it in water, add shrimps and vegetables then fry them. You eat them with fish sauce. That is another of my traditional food. I don’t know if “pancake” is the correct translation but everyone here use “pancake” when speaking in English. Even school brainwashed me with “pancake”.

Coloma's avatar

@Mimishu1995 Or maybe they are more like Crepes, lighter and fluffier than traditional, american pancakes which are pretty dense.

Espiritus_Corvus's avatar

A pancake by any other name… especially on Fluther. I would call them rice tacos with seafood, but who’s quibbling? I’ll take eight, please.

Coloma's avatar

^ haha 8. Oh just round it up to an even dozen sailor.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Take as much as you like! Since this is my traditional food I’ll never run out of it :D

Kardamom's avatar

I just whipped up some Tapas and Dim Sum to round out the Funyons and wine coolers.

I think we should try some of This action.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

I got a case of Vodka just for this, lets PARTY!!
