Are there physically and alphabetically adjacent states?

Asked by elbanditoroso (33550points) June 28th, 2016

Are there any other states besides Florida and Georgia that are both physically adjacent (i.e. they have a common border) and alphabetically adjacent?

Illinois and Indiana – I think so.

Ohio and Pennsylvania—nope, Oklahoma and Oregon are between them.

Connecticut and Delaware—nope, they don’t touch.

Any others?

Michigan and Minnesota are separated by 240 miles of Lake Michigan and Wisconsin.

CORRECTION: Michigan and Minnesota are 60 miles apart through Lake Superior.

Florida, Georgia
Illinois, Indiana
Michigan, Minnesota (if you count it)

That’s all of them, I’m sure since I know the alphabetical USA song and I know where the states are located on a map.
