If someone gives you a Christmas present on January 1st, is a late present...or an extremely early one?
I thought of this a while back and I just want to see what people think, lol

It is a “late” present, although “Christmas tide”, the Twelve Days of Christmas, run until January 6. So, it is late if they have seen you between Christams Eve and New Year’s Day; if this is the first you have seen them, then it is on time.
(And no, it is not. 358 days early. That would mean they missed a Christmas.)
I’ve akways been given presents on that day, as January 1st is my birthday.
Neither, an you shouldn’t care.
You should be pleased and surprised that they gave you anything at all. Say thank you and move on.
Late Xmas or seasons greetings gift.
I’d be surprised and pleased that they thought of me – at any time.
I have a friend that I exchange gifts with on a random basis. We sometimes say that we bought a gift in anticipation of a birthday or Christmas or other occasion and then just give it to the other because we want them to enjoy it. We’ve pretty much stopped being occasion-specific.
It’s late. But really, a present is a present! Be happy with that. After all, it’s not polite to look a gift horse in the mouth.
My friends and I always exchange our Christmas presents late. We’re always all so busy with shopping and family that it’s nice to see them in January when we can relax and not be so stressed. It’s also nice to be able to shop after Christmas if that works, although the sales nowadays are so good before Christmas that it doesn’t make a difference, often.
