Pills of either kind that really helped you lose weight along with your obvious efforts.

I’ve never taken any diet pills ever.
They do work. Many of them work. But, they have bad side affects.
Fen-Phen caused permanent heart problems in a lot of people, and was pulled off the market.
Some OTC drugs are full of caffeine, which helps burn calories.
Some drugs raise your body temperature, which burns calories.
All of them if you ever try them, which I would never recommend, I will say this, NEVER double + the dose.
Phen fen worked great for me but it was pulled.
My dentist took fen-phen, he died from heart failure.
I’ve used Xenical and Alli, respectively the prescription and over-the-counter versions of orlistat. The pill does work because it inhibits one’s body from digesting about 30%-50% of fat consumed. If a certain food gets many or most of its calories from fat, a large portion those calories get exuded.
I took diet pills sometimes – basically legal speed – when I was in high school. Sure didn’t feel like eating; could lose nine pounds in a week. Those were the days when I felt fat if I weighed 115 pounds. Haven’t taken any diet pills for the last 45 years or so.
…Do you have to take them for the rest of your life?
No – as with any diet method, you just have to watch after you’ve lost the weight not to regain it. A difficult task.
Some of them work while you take them. None of them work permanently.
Well, change your eating habits, permanently. It becomes easy after a while.
Yes I sure did. When I was in my forties I took Phen-Fen and had no appetite. I lost a lot of weight fast and loved it. But for some reason I stopped taking it .
Ten years ago I went to a new dentist. He knew I had taken Phen-Fen and said, “from now on, for the rest of your life, I want you to take three antibiotics before any dental procedure.” I never have except for that day.
Maybe I should be concerned I have heart valve damage.

@Aster You can just get an echo done and check your valves. Not everyone had damage. Also, dentists used to premeditate for mitro valve prolapse, but I’m pretty sure they don’t anymore. I have two leave valves, I never premeditates. I dint have MVP specifically though.
