Would aliens dance?
Do you think ,assuming there are many types of intelligent aliens, that they have music?
If they have music, do they feel compelled to move to the beat?
Interests me to think of an alien on a highly advanced UFO jamming to it’s favorite songs while piloting their ship.
If they heard some of our music, would they like it and vice versa?
Obviously a hypothetical question?

Well, since there’s a high correlation between music and math, I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised that a technologically advanced race who’ve conquered the complexities of long distance space travel would also appreciate the complexities of music and might very well be gettin’ jiggy with it.
Isn’t it at the end of Close Encounters where the scientist communicates with them musically by a tonal sequence? I might have the wrong movie in mind but it was at the end of a major science fiction hugely popular movie.
So, I think it’s quite plausible to think that they would have an appreciation of both music and dance. Can’t think of any reason they wouldn’t.
@Buttonstc, nice. I didn’t think of the correlation between math and music. Interesting…
And yess, that was Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind. A movie I may have watched 1000 times when I was a kid with the VHS copy. My copy was recorded from TV, so it had old commercials from the 80’s. I think I saw it with my parents in the theater, but I was very young then. Bad ass movie though.
An interesting little tidbit. The French scientist who came up with the tonal sequence was played by famous film director, in his own right, Francois Truffaut.
First find an alien, then we can talk about it.
Of course not. Dancing is for savages.
I am a brilliant, noble, dancing alien-savage.
They would dance like this
How would they react if they see MJ’s dance?
@RocketGuy. Excellent. Perhaps aliens settle their differences with dance offs, instead of war. Lol…..
“Oh, I wanna dance with somebody, I wanna feel the heat with somebody, yeah…”
