Where do you like to hang out with friends?
Is it coffee shop / pub or shopping mall with multiple options possible like movie etc. or any other place? How often do you meet?

I live on a 10 acre horse property and most of my city friends come up here to hang out as it is like a mini-vacation for them. haha
Being a little older now I don’t do bars and pubs anymore, I drink at home where it’s safe though I do enjoy the occasional wine tasting excursion since I live in wine country here.
I do like meeting for lunch and a movie which I am doing with my daughter tomorrow who lives about 45 minutes away from me in the city. I see my best friend and my daughter about once a month.
My friend comes out and we sit outside and visit, take a walk around the property, have lunch and sometimes we take off for a weekend in Tahoe or the coast. Being in my 50’s now I don’t require a lot of activity anymore, I am very content to just hang out and visit wherever that may be.
Over dinner at a restaurant, sometimes a very casual place, sometimes a bit more fancy.
I need an activity… So the pool hall, golf or batting cages is where you’ll find me with friends.
At my house in front of a good old movie on my giant TV.
Girl friends? In the bedroom.
I agree with @RealEyesRealizeRealLies. I love hanging out at a pool hall or bowling. Sadly, most of our friends aren’t into that, so we either do brunch or go to this great coffee joint that has live jazz — which I also love.
In the summer, we usually hang out on the boardwalk or the beach, walk and talk.
Mostly coffee shops. The main aim is to talk as much as possible. I don’t like doing activities that don’t allow talking, I mainly hang out to share my stories with my friends and get to know them more. Doing something in silence just defeats the purpose.
And I can go anywhere and do anything if the ones I hang out with are just casual friends. But if I hang out with close friends or someone I’d like to talk, I want peace and quiet and I don’t like them to get more people. I want to interact directly with them, not with others’ distraction. I never tell anyone that though.
I’m a loner so I hang out by myself, which is what I prefer.
Mostly at each other’s homes. We mostly get together to talk.
One friend and I have a regular standing date at Souplantation. We don’t get to see each other that often and don’t want to spend too much money. We live kind of far apart, so there is a Souplantation in between us. We go there about once a month and close the place down, ha ha. We eat and just talk.
Several of my close friends live in another city. We get together to go to music shows, out to lunch, or to go on hikes. Every now and then we all go on a long weekend vacation together, like to Palm Springs or Las Vegas.
One of my friends and I often go walking together at the beach or in a local park, or on a hiking trail. We also have lunch together a lot.
None of us are drinkers or party people. We like to eat, and walk around, and talk, mostly.
