Product similar to HeadOn?
I used to love using it when I got headaches and migraines because of how distracting it was, but apparently it’s not sold anymore. I just recently had an eight-hour migraine and it made me remember it. Does anyone know if there’s something very similar on the market anywhere? If so, point me in the right direction.
Preferably, I’d like answers from people who experience bad headaches and migraines (and who are familiar with HeadOn), or who now people who do, at least.
I came across a product made in England called 4Head being sold on Amazon, but it seems to be mostly menthol, so I’m not sure if it’s actually comparable to HeadOn.
If anyone can help, thank you!

Peppermint oil. It is the fastest thing to knock out a headache for me. Just be careful not to get it to close to your eyes. Especially if it’s pure. It stings a bit if you’re not careful
Head On was a homeopathic medicine made entirely out of wax.
You could try rubbing a candle on your face.
On the brightside it does mean that the potassium dichromate was watered down to the point it probably hasnt given anyone cancer.
It was majorly cooling, so it probably also had menthol. I never said it got rid of headaches or migraines, I said it was distracting and it did a very good job in that regard. My best friend and some other people I know who also suffer from migraines all loved it because of how it actually felt. But if regular old menthol can produce the same thing, I’ll just use that next time.
@LightlySeared I thought that was an unproven rumor?
No. The dangers of potassium dichromate are well known and well documented. You really don’t want to be exposed to the stuff.
@Lightlyseared Well… Wow. I had no idea. I’m glad I never used the product that often, then. :-/
Could you substitute something, like Icy Hot or Mentholatum deep heating rub?
@Dutchess_III I wanted to avoid using mentholatum outright since it’s so goopy, but yeah, I probably could. Not sure I want to put IcyHot directly on my forehead simply because it’s so powerful it might bother my eyes. If peppermint is cooling and tingly, I might try @Judi‘s suggestion, too.
Wonder if you could freeze it? Say, in a chapstick tube?
