Is it good for America if Fox News' (so-called) talent leaves along with Roger Ailes?

The thing that I will hand FOX is that there are a couple of folks among the on air talent that actually rise above the sleazy “standards” you grow to expect from the ministry of wingnut propaganda. Bret Baier, Chris Wallace and Greta Van Susteren are 3 capable journalists you can watch visibly struggle to maintain some semblance of integrity while mired in the muck. Shepard Fox is another who wisely took the route of being director for breaking news, and thereby avoid altogether blaring out “the message” These folks clearly are writing their own copy and combined are a study on maintaining standards while marooned in hell. The accusations against Ailes probably surprise no one. The suspiciously ample barnload of vacuous bimbo livestock, usually exhibited en masse, is hardly an enhancement on “the news” The bunch serves primarily as a sort of harpy chorus spewing that right wing bullshit. It isn’t really news that a repulsive man with money might assemble a harem of babes to harass sexually. It’s the oldest story in the book.

I’m not sure that the messaging would change much. It is still a Murdoch operation.

I think you mean Shep Smith (not Fox) and I agree with your assessment of him. When you listen to him, he’s objective, plays it straight down the middle (as a news broadcaster should) and not toeing the party line.

I don’t tune into enough Fox to hear much of the other two but I know that I don’t have to hold my nose while listening to Shep Smith.

I must admit I was surprised when Chris Wallace decided to sign on to Fox, but perhaps he wanted to go out of his way to distance himself from his father’s liberal pedigree.

I’m curious about why other Fox people woukd leave after Ailes. Are they protesting that he’s being canned (and thus endorsing sexual harrassment)?

What are they hoping to accomplish?
