If you’re near a lbrary, there will be all the House and Garden magazines available. You can browse, fax and check out the issues.

You go for a light beach house airy look. Colors of tan, light blue and crisp white. Accents of shells, ships, ropes, etc. Just don’t be too heavy-handed on the theme.

I get a lot of ideas from http://hgtv.com.

what styles do you like? Modern? Retro? Country? Antique?
Do you like lots of furniture? Or are you more into open spaces?

Pick up a copy of COASTAL LIVING at Barnes and Noble. It’s a magazine all about the beach and decorating. Also google beach house or cottage furniture. Lots of yummy on-line stores and ideas.

P. S. Oh, also google shabby chic.

And factor in your views. Ocean, lake, woods, mountains, fields, high bldgs…I picked the tiles for my kitchen backsplash to echo the greens of the spring woods and shrubs.
