Have you ever pretended to be naive just to avoid trouble, heartache or any kind of pain?

You just have to overlook some things sometimes so delicate situations don’t collapse. Have you ever pretended to be naive or have you brought issues to a breaking point? Would one be wrong to act “silly” or unaware for the sake of peace?

During recess I was dragged over the rocks by two girls in my grade 3 class. I slapped one and I regretted it and acted stupid in class for 3 6 years, because the bible said that the ignorant and ill are not judged.
Now the pretending is just to say that I , ” forgot my glasses” , and get people to find stuff for me in the grocery store.

The dishonesty doesn’t avoid the trouble, heartache, or pain. It makes it worse; people know you are being disingenuous and will lose any trust or confidence in you.

All the time, with people I don’t like but have no way to distant myself. Me “being silly” isn’t “acting stupid” but “keeping my mouth shut and believing everything they say”. I’m especially amused by how much bullshit those people spill out when I use my technique. I can avoid a lot of troubles too. Sometimes it’s better to feed annoying people what they want to hear.
