Is there any place to donate it to or should I just chuck it? It’s over 10 years old. Also have some old flip phones and wondering the same thing.

My advice would to hold on to the router in case your new on dies at 2AM.
As for the phones, if the batteries still work a battered woman’s shelter will probably take them. They should still work for calling 911.
Depends. If it is a normal LAN router, then you can still use it just fine.
If it is a DSL modem router, then no. It probably is not compatible with todays standards.
@johnpowell Well, they deactivated the old network so I imagine I couldn’t just plug it back in and use it? Or could I?
Depends on if it a router or a modem/router. Sounds like the latter so I would just toss it out.
If there’s electronics recycling in your area, they’ll dispose of it better than the landfull. Everywhere I’ve lived for the past 20 years has had city or county electronics recycling.
I hang on to old electronics so I can use them for free admission to the annual Green Living show/convention.
Goodwill employs people identified as solidly within the Autism Spectrum to dismantle used electronics.
I would donate there.
If it came from your provider then recycle it, if it’s a standard wireless router like the common wrt54g you should hang onto it or sell it. people are still hacking and hot rodding those
