If a Donald Trump presidential candidacy isn’t a wish gone wrong, I don’t know what is!

This is a famous example from literature

OMG @flutherother. I read that in High School or college. I don’t remember which, but that was the last time.

It sends a shiver down your spine doesn’t it?

It does. It’s like a short short by Stephen King. I was on the husband’s side, even though I could feel the mother’s pain.
“OH MY GOD DON’T OPEN THE DOOR!” The funny thing is, as I started reading it, and remembered it, I had a complete picture in my mind of what was going to be on the other side of the door…but, in actuality, that was never described.
That’s great writing for you. When you can see what was never described.

A really sad guy walks into a bar, sits on a stool, orders a couple of beers and pulls a little guy and a small grand piano out of his pocket and sets them on the bar. The little guy starts in with Le Mal de Mer concerto.

The astonished bartender says, “That’s fantastic, man! Where’d you get him?”

The guy says he found a bottle on the beach, rubbed it and out popped a genie that gave him one wish.

The bartender says, “No shit! How about lettin’ me have a try?”

The guy gives the bartender the bottle, out pops the genie, bartender whispers his wish and suddenly the whole place is packed floor to ceiling with ducks.

The bartender is freaked. “What the hell is this?! I asked for a million bucks! What gives?

The guy stares down at his beer forlornly, points at the little guy and says, “Fucked up, isn’t it? I asked for a twelve-inch penis and I got him.”
