Is SLI worth it?

I currently run a GTX 960 card, but I’ve been thinking of upgrading to two SLI’d GTX 1080 cards… I was wondering, how much performance gain would this get me over a single 1080?

What resolution is your monitor? If it’s not 4K it’s not worth the effort.
