Very tall people have ridden comfortably in my Fit. It looks like a tiny car but has super head and leg room. The woman across the street had one that I once saw four college hockey players and their gear get into and out of – those guys were enormous and still got in and out with no trouble. Tall people are consistently surprised by how much room they have. You can even have a tall person sit behind a tall person and not worry about getting squashed.

People with bad knees and hips like the Fit since the seats are surprisingly high for a little car.

It has more head room than quite a few SUV’s that I test drove and test sat.

Here are two articles on the subject that I can’t seem to open due to my messy internet tonight:

The Ten Best Cars for Tall People And The Top Ten Sedens for Tall Drivers

Too bad Checker Cab stopped making their cars in 1982. The Marathon model had plenty of headroom and was famous for longevity. You might be able to get one used somewhere. It would be a fine car to have and restore.

You could get a used hearse, ala Harold and Maude. That might be cool. They have plenty of headroom. Might narrow your dating pool to Goth chicks, though. But they’re kinda cute, actually.

Or you could get a van. They have a lot of head and legroom.

I’m 6.5 ft tall 300 lbs. I’ve always had plenty of room in full size trucks/SUVs , and Cameros. Any GM sports car I’ve been able to kind of lay back in.

Good luck. As you know, the world isn’t built for us…

I’m 5’9” and I feel like a little kid in the new Ford Explorer.

I ran into a big guy once who had a Toyota Cellica GT. He had 6” extended seat rails installed at the dealer so he could slide the seat WAY back! You could always get a small school bus with Diesel engine (air brakes) and install an air-ride seat.
