Fluther's now on new servers! Do you see any new bugs?

Andrew worked hard to move and fix a ton of stuff so we can be on great servers for the long term. Yay!
There are probably some bugs and issues because there were a ton of moving parts… let us know and we’ll work on fixing them.

UPDATE! NEVER MIND! The preview is working great. I use a script blocker and had to allow a new Cloudfront address.

I had a bunch of questions show up in Questions for You that were old… most of them by one specific user (can I say who?). I left a comment about this on another Meta question (the one about the ... question), because several of them had ... in the title or details. But having gone through all of them, I’m not so sure that’s what the problem was.
Well, that was sort of an incoherent ramble, and I’m not sure it’s even related to the server change. Thanks for keeping tabs on us anyway!
I’ve just logged on for the first time since yesterday and things are fast and just breezin’ along. Thanks for the injection of turbo power.

Got a shit ton of federated questions stretching back over 2yrs in my Q4U, all from mods, looked almost like “test” questions as only other mods responded, nowt serious but rather odd.
I could see @andrew crafting response..but not seeing it till now..is that a bug?

@all It is likely that all of the things added by Phi and Mariah will have to be re-added separately. This includes the chat box and flagging profiles. Sorry for the inconvenience! In the meantime, feel free to use the Contact Form or the PM system as a roundabout way of flagging users. Thanks!

I’m pleased to see that Ben and Andrew are still cohorts. That they both still give a spit about Fluther. That they both think that Fluther, as it exists…fluthers… is again or still viable.
I’m tickled spitless that the legendary duo of Ben and Andrew is reunited in and on Fluther, and willing to put forth time, money, and energy.

@Mimishu1995 The chat box will probably take some time to get back online. There’s a lot of anti-spam stuff that Phi and Mariah added that is going to take priority.
@all Speaking of spam, we’re likely to see a bit more than usual in the next few days while we get all of this stuff back in place. All flagging efforts are much appreciated. And don’t worry about over-flagging. Multiple flags are not a problem!

Just for you seems to be not working. When I came back last week pretty much every new question popped up in Just for you and now bubkes.

When I click on Activity for you…I remember that when you clicked it, it took you to the latest addition to the thread….now I am just taken to the OP and have to scroll down to find the latest and greatest. Life is too short to have to blow precious time scrolling…please don’t use Labor day holiday time off as an excuse to not fix this! ~

Yeah possible lurve problems, I noticed a answer of mine showed up as having gotten GA’d twice in the Lurve feed but only has a 1 by it in the discussion thread.
A new member joined and received no lurve for joining. It may be trivial but it can mean something wrong is going on behind it.
By the way I’m still waiting for the profile’s flag button…

For the past few days, I thought Fluther was gone/broken because I usually type in just “Fluther.com” (no www). Now, I must type in the www. Is that a bug? I’m relieved either way. Thank you!

@Jeruba @janbb I can’t reproduce the bug, unfortunately. I just received lurve myself for logging in. Have you tried logging out?
@andrew, no, I haven’t. I never used to have to log out. (I’m always afraid I’ll forget my password.) The +1 would occur automatically at midnight, and that’s how it’s worked for the years that I’ve been around. That hasn’t happened for days now.
Lack of flag profile spammers is more troubling, though.
I just checked my lurve logs, and I’ve been getting +1 for everyday going back to just before the transfer. I never logged out, but I had to log back in after the transfer, which seems normal to me.
SAme for me as @Jeruba. I never log out but it just came at midnight.

@Coloma It was a section they had for a while where they were pioneering Fluther fielding questions from other sites.
My lurve log shows +1 for signing in, but no change to the total. I noticed because I just passed an even 44000 a few days ago, and the only increments since then have been three for 5 points each. No daily points.
@Jeruba Well I am trying my best to raise you out of the slump. haha
Yeah, I haven’t been looking for +1s, only noting that my lurve total has not increased. Perhaps that’s why a difference is being reported between users.
@janbb – looks like you’re depending too much on daily visit lurve increase for reaching 50k mark? You should get there easily with GAs though..unless I’m missing something in lurve counting mechanism.
@imrainmaker I was being humorous but the fact is that after everyone has given you 100 lurve points, they are maxed out on you. The ycan still give you GAs but your lurve count doesn’t go up from them. So if you’ve been here a while it is hard for your lurve to go up much.
Maybe now that Fluther is a smaller community than it used to be I will talk to bendrew about fiddling with the lurve algorithm.
@Mariah I’ve been thinking for a while that maybe they could up the lurve max some.

Are we sure you get an automatic 1 lurve on sign up? I feel like I’ve seen 0 lurve on people all the time but now I’m wondering if I’m just remembering wrong.
@Mariah, well, I was sure. It should be easy enough to create a new account and see, right? I’m pretty certain it says right up front that you’ve been awarded +1 for signing up. All our various +1s don’t seem to be registering. If you can read the set of possible lurve-related messages that are in the code, you should be able to see if it says that or not. So if it does, then the question is why it’s not being added.
Oh yeah I can check the code, later. I am camping now. No computer, only phone.

I know because I leave Fluther up on my computer 24/7 and just refresh the page when I come back on. I’m looking right at the lurve count as it doesn’t change.
And yes, I logged out and in since the we started going through “the change”.
Or give us each 200 bonus lurve points when it is fixed. :-)

I’m by no means bent about the lurve thing. Not even annoyed, truth told. I’m just enjoying the Days of Rosé Whine and Cheeses.

Lurve is still correctly working for GA and GQ, as far as I’ve seen.

The only bugs I see are the ones buzzing by me.
For the last 3 days, I’ve only been able to get onto Fluther, through Googling it. I can’t just type in Fluther, or www.fluther.com in my search engine (which is Google, on Chrome).
It is 10:05 p.m. PST, 9/13/2/16.

@Kardamom I tried typing it on my Chrome exactly the way you did and it worked fine. Maybe try cleaning your cookies and see what happens.
@Kardamom Just to be completely sure: Are you typing in ”www.fluther.com”? Because that not working would be new.
So far, we were only aware of “fluther.com” not getting you to the lagoon right now. Ben and Andrew are working on that.

I still have not gotten and plus one lurve either. I usually just stay logged in and it accrues; I just tried logging in and back out and it didn’t go up either.
I haven’t been getting daily lurve, but I am getting GA lurve.
My problem seems to have fixed itself.
