I have ideas for parody songs. Look at the list. Do you have any lyric suggestions for any of them?
Also, instrumentation suggestions, etc.?
What’s the best software with which to create new music?
As well as the best free software?

To learn what original tunes they’re based off of, the blogpost will link to said tunes. They’ll also summarize backgrounds (in some cases) and what their music videos should show.

One suggestion – a parody song is not just appropriating a tune, it means making a joke that relates to the original song. So using the tune of Feliz Navidad but changing to “Stop Tickling My Feet” isn’t very humorous. Build on a joke, like “Fleas In My Bed”.
Looking at your list here, there is no connection that comes to mind of what the original song was.
The lyrics are to build on your idea, not something other people can deliver. As to instrumentation, that is what ever you can play or think of.
Hmm, unlike on Reddit, I can’t directly reply to your post, @zenvelo. Apparently the only way to reply is to tag your name.
> So using the tune of Feliz Navidad but changing to “Stop Tickling My Feet” isn’t very humorous.
(Or what is Fluther’s quote tag, if they have any?)
If any of my song ideas won’t constitute a parody, but merely a singing of different lyrics to the tune of another song, what is THAT called? I hope there’s another name for that genre or style of music.
Hm, well, if you’re changing the lyrics to fit a fandom or some kind of geek-lore, it’s known as “Filking”, with the song itself being a “filk”.
The SCA has a long tradition of filk. A Grazing Mace is a fun filk of Amazing Grace.
So @Seek, I could style myself as a parody songwriter AND a “Filk Singer,” as a play on the words “Folk Singer.”
Like how Weird Al made “parody music” a household name, “Filk songs” should become a household name thanks to me.
Sure. Some of the stuff Weird Al does is filk, too. The Saga Begins is a filk of American Pie, for instance.
Some of those song titles sound like AxCx doing a really, really tame parody of themselves.
