An eBay seller says that he wants $3 more for shippng what should I do?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24892points) September 9th, 2016

The parcel was delivered already. The seller wants me to pay him on PayPal. I don’t have PayPal. I don’t want to give any more personal info, then he already has. I’m creeped out.

You do nothing.

If you like, you can report him through eBay. Sounds like he’s trying to recoup his fees, which is disallowed.

Yup, you have it and $3.00 fee after you receive it is a no no.
Must be reported and “Ding” him on the review of sellers.

It’s three dollars.

Technically uncool.

But it’s three dollars.

The guy should have disclosed this before he sold you the item.

Say no to him, and, as @Tropical_Willie said, report him. It’s against the terms of service for him to do that.

IMO, it’ll be enough to just leave him neutral feedback, with “Tried to guilt-trip me into paying more after I got the item” in the comments.

Getting him kicked off ebay is harsh for three bucks.

Once again, Thanks @Seek for saving me the trouble of answering. were we separated at birth or something, several years apart of course

The seller agreed to sell you the item for $X.

But after the completed transaction he wants an additional $3?

I’d tell the seller to go pound sand.

I’d probably message the seller, “I don’t have Paypal, and, in any case, is $3 worth a negative feedback to you?”

State the obvious. Hear no more ignorance.

Bury three dollars and every day send him another clue as to where he can find it.
