Are we going towards the right direction?

No, this is a knee jerk reaction to the problems Europe faces from drastically increased migration/refugee asylum seeking brought on by the turmoil in the Middle East.
It is (and this is just my opinion) something that occurs when you have right wing governments who decide to meddle in the affairs of others, which gets them thrown out of power, which brings in leftist governments that have to deal with the blowback from the screwed up policies of the Right, which have no good solution, so the left gets stuck with the blame and the Right take advantage of the situation to, once again, garner power and then the process repeats itself over and over until the entire situation explodes, millions get hurt and killed and the rich keep getting richer.
