Yes I have, its very common and popular in the south western part of India. It’s insane, could be real fun, and sometimes makes no sense but then faith is never supposed to make sense.

I am very well acquainted wit Ganesh and it’s purported powers of removing obstacles to success as my wife has been a yoga instructor for over 15 years and you will find Ganesh statues hiding on shelves throughout our home. I will say that since Ganesh has made it’s appearance in our lives…things have been pretty successful for both of us and our kids as well.

That seems a wonderful celebration! In the US we do similar things, like the San Francisco Bay to Breakers and the New York St Patrick’s Day parade.
