Did you see the moon tonight?

Yes, and last night. Excellent, round, bright, golden disc peaking between fast moving silvery clouds. No light pollution. Everything is lit up by moonglow.

I only know anout it in your question. And it seemed to come when I was asleep :(

Well, it’s a “super moon” because it’s at perigee, nearest the Earth. It looked pretty good here, even though it was partly cloudy.

We do not have a moon anymore, ever since Piccolo blew it up.

Saw it over the ocean. Stunning!

I tried to but my butler yanked the blinds shut before I could see, bless him, he has this bizarre notion that I may have lycanthropic tendencies…we Brits eh…howling mad.

saw it rising above the Nevada shoreline from Tahoe City, the mountains and trees making it look larger in the clear mountain air. Beautiful.

I went out and howled at the moon – the dog just watched.

I hadn’t been paying attention and there was someone walking from the bus stop at the end of the street. He slow.w.w.w.w.ed down . I think he’d have turned around if possible.

I went out again a few more times and howled , yipped and ululated . It felt fine.

Listened to Neil Young’s Harvest Moon in between howls.

‘Neath the cover of September skies…

Moon looked incredible the last two nights. There were about 20 photos on FB on various sites. My cell phone camera doesn’t do it justice so I don’t try. I was with friends last night and we were sitting outside around a fire and the clouds were blowing past the moon. One of my friends tried to do a video of it but the moon looked small and blurry. In real life it was so bright and vivid. It kind of looked like it was made of cream colored marble.

Too many clouds, but I saw it the night before and the night after. Quite brilliant.
