Is it ok to cook chicken winglets in the crock pot?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24945points) October 4th, 2016

I set them for 2 hour on high. They are frozen drums from the wing. I put a little bit of water just to cover them and put some Kraft original BBQ sauce on . I can still change them. I hope that they will be ready before the Vice-Presidential debate at 7pm mountain standard time. They have been cooking for 10 minutes and I can still change my mind if you suggest.

They should be okay.

Are you on Standard Time in Alberta? Most parts of the US are on Daylight Savings Time for another month.

@zenvelo I just finished eating my chicken wings. Was ok. A little bland but ok. Will put bbq sauce on next time.

Next time pan sear them in a cajun pepper seasoning and then crock pot them….yum.

You put them in frozen? I would have defrosted them first or let them cook longer, but if they came out done then I guess it’s ok.

why not just put them in the oven?
