What would you pick as a skill testing question to run for leader of your country?

I would first like a way to measure empathy and sincerity. Those are key. We could then throw in a lie detector test — on all the time.

Beyond that, I’d like a leader (President, US) to be well educated but better travelled. Also, smart enough to ask for help.

A little humor and humility would be nice as well.

Can we somehow test for all that? Am I asking too much? Probably.

“Do you want to be leader of our country?”

If the answer is yes—immediately disqualified.

Of course, that will quickly become too obvious and the liars will get around it. Other more subtle tests will have to be used to measure levels of overweening ambition, egocentrism, narcissism, and similar traits.

Ideally there wouldn’t be some single figurehead “leader” at all. I don’t believe in or have a master in heaven, and I certainly don’t need or want one on Earth.

We need an actual problem solver, a leader of a team of advisors and experts. Someone who knows how to put the right people on the front line. The president needs to be an engineering project manager. At this point rebuilding the mess we are in transcends politics, it’s a technological problem requiring qualified and properly educated leaders.

The one who can provide 2 examples of how to boil water should be sworn into office.
