Do you agree with the judge's sentencing in this case?
Story here
“A judge who imposed a 60-day jail sentence plus probation on a Montana man who repeatedly raped his 12-year-old daughter has become the latest jurist to face the wrath of the public for his actions on the bench.
Based on Sullivan’s testimony, treatment within the community in this case afforded ‘a better opportunity for rehabilitation’ and ‘for the ultimate protection of the victim,’ the judge wrote. A state exception to mandatory sentencing policies is meant ‘to encourage and provide opportunities for an offender’s self-improvement, rehabilitation and reintegration back into a community.’”
No big deal, right? This man just repeatedly raped his twelve year old daughter. Not like he really hurt anyone. Not like he went out and serially raped women. Besides, he has sons and it would be cruel to deprive them of a father figure. This man needs rehabilitation, not punishment. She was probably leading him on anyway, that little slut. You know how seductively 12-year-olds like to act and dress these days.

Disgusting. I hope he’s impeached.
Actually, the judge is retiring in a couple of weeks, so impeachment is not in the cards.
It’s an asinine sentence.
No one cares about what the 12 year old thinks or feels. She now has to live in fear of him the rest of her life.
The judge is wrong to give that kind of a sentence.
The judge has to live in the community so hopefully people shun him.
There must be something left out here. Like the father’s psychological disposition. I would prefer to believe he’s crazy as hell.
The victim had no representative or advocate in court.
The mother and grandmother put the needs of the two sons above that of the daughter who had been abused. In other words, the family dysfunction is setting the boys up to become predators themselves.
Here’s rehablitation for you, cut his cock off with a big knife & make the sick cunt eat it.
OMG!
Did he admit to doing it? I wonder what the details of the case were? There is likely something missing, but I’ll go with what you said at face value for my answer.
How do people do this? Does the daughter get to live across country now?
Is the mother still married to him? WTF? I would take my kids to another country if I had to to get away from him.
Forget that I want him punished more severely, I don’t want my daughter to worry for a second this could happen to her again. She will probably worry even if he is dead, because I assume it will likely haunt her in some way or another. I don’t want my sons near him either. I don’t want them learning shit from that guy. I don’t care how “great” he is otherwise.
Total disgrace of the legal system.
