What would it take for Trump to end his years alone, in disgrace, and BROKE?

It’s happened before to millionaires.

Not much, at the rate he’s going.

He makes most of his money by leasing his name out to other companies, these days. If he continues running his name into the ground, no one is going to pay for it anymore.

Forbes estimates his assets have lost a total of $800 million in value in the last year.

all that would be required is for the money to disappear. If broke comes first, the rest is automatic.

If he flipped out and started killing people then he would spend the rest of his life locked up.

Well, he could be found guilty of RICO charges in the Trump University case, which would be tens of millions in penalties. And he can’t get out of that by bankruptcy.

He may be found liable in the child rape case, which would also mean millions but would also completely discredit him from TV shows and other appearances.

His golf courses are now off limits for PGA Tour events.

And, so much has come out about him not paying contractors that they will demand payment up front or will not work for him.

He is kind of heading there already. Maybe he should change his name to Charles Foster Kane.

What @Seek said. When your primary money maker is your name then it doesn’t take much to fuck it up. Which kinda makes me wonder if Trump isn’t seriously mentally unwell. I’ve never seen anyone so seemingly hell-bent on self-sabotage.

I think it’s because all of his life he’s been able to do anything with impunity. He even said so himself. It didn’t occur to him that making a presidential run should turn out any differently.

Wow, I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy, you must really fucking hate the guy.

Dutchess_III's avatar

He is repulsive.

I’m with @ucme. I’d rather see Trump reform and be successful than remain a bigot and be driven to ruin.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I would too. But I don’t see it happening, do you?

SavoirFaire's avatar

@Dutchess_III No, I don’t see it happening. But if he loses, that would be good enough for me. He doesn’t need to be miserable as well.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure he's going to win.

@ucme I don’t hate the guy; nothing he’s ever done has had a direct impact on me or anyone I know. However, I didn’t like his attitude as far back as the 1980’s, but at that time I saw him as just another guy who had power because he had family money. His personality on The Apprentice caused me to like him even less. His campaigns, both primary and general, have made me fearful for the US and the world in general should he be elected.
