I check in at both Quora and Answerbag. I agree that Fluther has a much better layout, appearance, and flow. The other two sites have more participants and questions, however, and the conversation tones are generally friendlier.

@love_my_doggie. Their “conversation tones are generally friendlier”. That makes me a bit sad. I’ve always thought of Fluther as one of the friendliest places on the internet. Although in recent times I concede, much less so.

I just tried to log in with what I thought was my legitimate, if scarcely used, account.
It refused to let me in, not by the hair on my chinny chin chin…although I did shave this morning so that may be a lie of sorts.

They clearly don’t deserve you on their site.

Quite, although I suspect my sustained presence in the “penalty box” may be closer to the truth.

Yeah, I sent an email to the site owner, they said they’re trying to fix the problem. The only way I can log in is through Facebook, but they won’t let me change my display name from my full name, so that isn’t happening.

I can’t forgive you, @chyna, because you never had a contractual agreement with Fluther that gave us exclusive access to you awesomness. Sure, we were in bed together, but never married.

Please, though, forgive yourself.

Not a positive sign having login issues right after a supposed revamp, but hey…my hopes weren’t high.

The site is incredibly amateur.

Heck, once when I was mad at Fluther my uncle (who lurks here sometimes but never posts) made a Q&A site in a couple of hours that auto-populated questions with bots that looked better than the new AB.

It was a thread here that informed me that AB had shut down to begin with. I was a member there before I was here but hadn’t been there in years due to almost a complete absence of activity.

Out of curiosity I gave this revamp a looksie and am not impressed, it was incredibly simplified and the damn thing won’t log me in. Initially, I’d considered that it didn’t carry over accounts from the old site but it allowed me to reset my password proving otherwise. Yet when I submit my information the log-in page simply resets. And I refuse to use Facebook.
Great new start.

Whatever, Fluther is the place I’d count on for my questions. I never got satisfying answers on AB if any at all.
