Turkey pot pies.
Mexican hot chocolate.
Tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich.
Tom Yum.
Back in my drinking days, it was menudo for hangovers.
Best thing in the world for a cold is hot tea with honey, lemon, and whiskey.
In a pinch, honey whiskey will do.
It won’t cure the cold, but it’ll help you forget how bad you feel.
buttered grits or mashed potatoes
Rest, hot baths/showers, plenty of water and in the case of aches and pains and sprains a little wedge of a happy brownie to mask the misery. haha
Works wonders for helping ignore an injury, soothes the pain some and in the middle of suffering I might just find the creative energy to re-arrange my furniture. haha
Definitely soup. Somedays tomato soup does the trick, other days it has to be Tom Yum or Hot and Sour or maybe pho or ramen.
Yes, soup, how could I forget soup!?
Depends on the problem. Lots and lots of sleep/rest. Soup. 7-UP. Soda Crackers. Ice Cream if it involves a sore throat. Advil. Immodium.
Hot mint tea
Lots of water
Chicken soup
Deep tissue massage & sex
A hot bath with epsom salts for aches and pains and my special migraines I get. A feed of spicy hot food like a double dose of chili up in a Thai chili soup, or spring rolls with loads of wasabi followed by a long steamy shower if my head is stuffed up. If I’m feeling seedy after a night of drinking, it’s fried eggs on toast with Worcestershire sauce and a glass of milk. If me or the kid is feeling motion sick from a car or bus ride, it is something mint or something ginger. Tea tree hydrasol with French green clay for a mask to help clean out pores. Lavender essential oil to help me relax. (I buy the stuff by the liter for my soap making, so it’s always on hand) My own goat milk soap for any skin problem, and even when there isn’t, it is still the best soap.
@cookieman Good grief no, our Swedish masseur Helga would be fired on the spot by the wife & we can’t be having that, dear me no.
