I wanted to keep the genre tight and rock and roll music is a pretty large portfolio of music as it is. I am interested in what my fellow Jellies consider mood shaking music and why it is so to them?
I myself can listen to the opening guitar riff of the Hollies Long Cool Woman all day long. What is a rock song you are endeared to?

I have so many I think it’s hard to say which is a favorite. Some popular, some obscure.
It would definitely have to be something CCR. They’re at the top of my classic rock and roll list.
Can’t go wrong with Lodi but pretty much anything John Fogerty has written works for me.
I seriously wail out to Have you ever seen the rain? no matter who is covering it. The tinniest bar band working this over makes me feel like a teenage rocker chick again.
Straight on John Fogerty The old man down the road gets me moving and my hair flying (and that kind of defines rock and roll for me).

I never grow tired of Money for nothing Dire straights
I love this classic Hotel California the Eagles.
And this one is burned in my brain till the end of time, I love that old time rock an roll Bob Seager.
@Cruiser: I’m going to make a list in the morning and it will be 20 I can think of off the top of my head.
Caravan: The Dog, The Dog, He’s At it Again
Jethro Tull: Skating Away on the Thin Ice of a New Day
Rush: YYZ
This reminds me I was thinking about asking a question about KISS on here. Kiss was a little before my time but when I was growing up, I used to hear so many people talking about them and magazines (how we got our music news back then) always used to talk about them and the makeup, costumes, etc. To me, KISS is not that good. They have a few decent songs but nothing incredible, but I’m wondering what other people think.
There is never just one with the Doors, Jethro Tull, Jimi Hendrix, CCR, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, Blue Oyster Cult, Crosby; Stills & Nash, Dire Straights, Carlos Santana, The Police, The Cult, Queen, Rush, Metallica, Pink Floyd, and others I can’t even think of until I hear their music, is in play.
I never tire of the songs of Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, CSN(Y), Police and solo Sting, Chicago, Eagles, Steely Dan, and more solo artists than I could ever name.
Which bands and songs rate as one’s favorites depends entirely on one’s age. I was born in the ‘40s, a young teen in the ‘50s and a college kid in the ‘60s, so my music taste is wonderfully eclectic. I love Sinatra, Elvis, the Beatles and rock bands of all successive decades equally.
Probably a tie for me between Cream’s “Sunshine of Your Love” and The Doors “Light My Fire” but there are so, so many others.
Question is over… @SavoirFaire knocked it out of the park…great tunes….damn
@Rarebear That made me smile as I got major Dad street cred with my boyz when I nailed YYZ on guitar hero :)
I am comming after you….you must have copped my entire record collection!
The Beatles “Revolution”
The Who’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again”
Cream’s “Crossroads”
This list excludes reggae, blues, and soul, as they are not pure rock.
Motley Crue – girls, girls, girls
Good Morning Little Schoolgirl- Johnny Winter And.
@Pachy Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, CSN(Y), Police and solo Sting, Chicago, Eagles, Steely Dan are at the top of my play list as well.
