The founders’ recent efforts to keep the site up show they’re willing to make changes and keep us around. I don’t understand why the mood amongst some is so doom and gloom.

I enjoy the discussions at fluther. Nobody is forcing us to come here so it would seem that our active members do as well. Otherwise why come back.

This is not a real questions as the two options presented are either bad or worse.

I choose ‘C’: It will be as poisitive an experience as you make it. If you approach it optimistically, and you’re still disappointed, move on to greener pastures. This is my approach. Also note that this can apply to many situations in life.

Where you see “what appears to be many single-minded, constricted thoughts all supporting the same agenda, thoughts, or theories” I see a lot of diversity, most of it not extreme diversity, but diversity nonetheless. Very little of it is in line with your “single-minded” “agenda”, so maybe that’s why you lump all the rest of us together. With all of the sites available to us on the internet, reflecting so very many viewpoints, it boggles me that anyone would continue to stay in one place with which they feel no affinity. It’s not like people here are trapped in this location and can’t afford to move.
Don’t know where it’s going. When I no longer enjoy my time here, I’ll leave. That simple, actually.

Sure you do, I enjoy the conversations had at the Bible studies I attend because we are all speaking on what we like, there is no conversation of created gods, outside the context they attest the One True God. As long as the majority are all with one like mind, why would they not enjoy the talk? Kinda proves the point.

Doom and gloom would imply the place imploding like a beer can drop to the depths of the ocean. I have no doom and gloom to return to.

It is a lie floated about. I never said I hated the place, it is somewhat like the US; I may hate some of the things that go on, but that is due to people, not the land, trees, lakes and other great things about the US.

If one could create a freeway with 50 lanes but they all go in the same direction to the same destination, you have many lanes to use but you are not going anywhere different, very much in single-mind and thought, because very few (from wat I have seen) will dare go South then everyone else is going East, much less not be oppose to those leaving the freeway to venture on other roads.

Your analogy is flawed. We are not all going to the same place, we are just not going to your place. There’s the difference that you refuse to see. There are more than two places. Expand your awareness.
