I'm worried about a lot of things with a Trump presidency, but why are people so worried regarding the LGBTQ community?

Asked by JLeslie (65790points) November 9th, 2016 from iPhone

Has Trump indicated he wants to do anything to limit their freedom? Or, is the worry just about the Supreme Court?

It may be about the Supreme Court or it may be about Pence. I don’t believe Trump himself is particularly anti-LGBT, but a Trump presidency will probably not benefit the LGBT community.

Trump specifically may not have, but his VP is flagrantly anti-LGBT. Look at his history and it’s not hard to get the feeling that Pence would happily imprison (or worse) homosexuals if he could.

The entire world should be quite worried….

This election is a victory for hate, misogyny, and intolerance. We all lost.

Pence wants to make it a crime for gay people to apply for a marriage license is what I heard. Trump and Pence are extremely homophobic. The supreme justices they will vote for will be no doubt tea party white men. How do you think they will vote on laws against gay people?

Makes sense that the concern is Pence. He freaks me out too.
