What is the biggest misconception people have about life ?

That it is fair. Life is not fair.

That they have plenty of time. Time to learn, time to earn, time to save, time to do all those things they want to do.

None of us has enough time.

^^ Very true.. time is most crucial aspect of life which people very lightly.

Ha, ha. I was going to say exactly what @elbanditoroso said.
But that is tied with the following two.

I will add the second thing, is that free things don’t have some sort of obligation attach to them. So nothing is really free.

The third is that the world makes them miserable. Most people make their own misery and spoon feed their misery to others. Hence, they make up the miserable world around them.

I think our biggest misconception in the US is that the key lies outside us. We believe someone will bring us the answer. Instead, it lies within each of us.

Well, “good” is subjective, so it is always learned to a degree. But, as social animals, most of us have similar goals and hopes and dreams, and while we often disagree on how to obtain those things, it’s generally out of shortsightedness and not badness.
