Why is my smartphone text messaging not working (details inside)?

5:16pm mountain standard time 2016–11-14. My Text messages don’t work on my smartphone. Can we keep a log as who is suffering what?

When my electronic gadgets experience problems, the first thing I do is turn them off, let them sit, and then turn them back on.
