What was the best thing before sliced bread?

Socks. I was wondering just this morning if socks were designed at the same time as shoes, or if they came along after. And if after, how stinky were shoes?

@RandomMrdan- interesting, I don’t know whats better the actual intercourse or the sheer bliss that follows? Good point but atleast we can agree that its a hell of a lot better than sliced bread. :-)

I contend that sliced bread is the best thing ever. Before sliced bread they just didn’t say anything at all unless it was something to do with a specific experience in their lives: i.e. That’s the best thing since your uncle won the Roman lottery.
