How much of the Trump 7 million in tax breaks to Carrier will be used on automating the plant?

According to the CEO of Untied Technologies, they’re going to invest $16 Million to to automate as much as they can.

Those jobs that could most profitably be replaced by Mexican labor were moved to Mexico and those that could most profitably be replaced by automation remain here (for the time being). Carrier did not have to promise to keep U.S. jobs in perpetuity. It is kind of ironic to think that some of the 7 million dollars given by the state may be applied to acquiring robots.
