What should we name a business that offers French-language afterschool activities and grammar worksheets?

Asked by tdrevet (7points) December 9th, 2016

The marketing would focus on promoting Multilingualism, especially among youth aged 10 to 16 years old. We’ll focus on French to begin with and maybe add more languages later. The philosophy is to “live” the language, by learning to speak and write it. We would bring together Francophiles with Francophones. We would also introduce cultural references to promote “pride” in the French language and culture internationally (Canada, France, Vietnam, etc.)

It would need to be “Après l’école”, with the article.

I like “lingua franca” a lot, precisely because it’s not French; it carries a sense of universalism rather than parochialism.

There’s also this phrase which i love: “l’école buissonnière”. Literally: the school of the woods, or the shrub school. It means skipping school to go play in the woods.

Le Quatre Heures

It’s what the French call an after-school snack (although the pronunciation might give English speakers fits).
