Jesus would vote for Lincoln.

You say he’s dead? Not anymore!

Bernie. The Sermon on the Mount and the brouhaha with the money changers in the Temple are proof that Jesus was nuthin’ but a pinko commie faggot joo, just like Bernie. He was from up North, too. So, that cinches it. Now that we finally got a real American in the Presidency, the truth can be told.

Probably Simon.
As I understand it, Jesus thought so much of him that he gave him a different name (Cephas, or Peter) to signify that he is the rock upon which the Church would be built.

Hands down Bernie. Jesus was famous for redistributing the wealth of his rich followers amongst his poorer followers.

Obviously Bernie Sanders… who might have won the primary if Jesus could be bothered to campaign for him. Given the choices on the ballot, Jesus would have voted for Clinton, because Trump is everything Jesus preached against.

How could anyone even question this?

He would vote for himself as a write in I suppose.

Why, for Bernie Sanders, of course. Just a couple of nice, Jewish boys…

Assuming Jesus existed at all, and given the scant details about his purported life—I think he’d have voted for Trump.

Jesus had delusions of grandeur and megalomania, posturing and acting as if he were some sort of messiah, and even insinuating that he was the son of a god. Someone that delusionally narcissistic would probably find a lot of affinity with Trump.

Jesus would probably have had his carpentry trade affected by globalisation and undercut by cheap Mexican labour. Trump’s protectionist and anti-immigrant labour messaging may well have resonated with Jesus.

Jesus wanted to make Judea great again. Trump’s slogan was to make America great again.

Jesus was poor and uneducated. The poor and uneducated turned out to vote for Trump.

LOL…Lots of interesting answers. Thank you all for your contribution.

I was hoping to hear from a theist. I am genuinely curious what someone who believes thinks.

we don’t get a whole lot of them who last long.

The nazarine would almost certainly been one of those loathed abstainers, his ego refusing to allow leadership for anyone other than his divine self.

stanleybmanly's avatar

No indeed. Jesus would almost certainly have been one of those folks regarding such worldly matters as elections with an open contempt, and would never be caught voting nor endorsing anyone involved in such transitory foolishness.

@rojo I can’t imagine why.
