FB question, if you are tagged in a post, can you like it without adding it to your page?

That’s a good question. I have the same setting where I have to approve all tags. At least, I’m supposed to approve them, but as you mentioned, sometimes tags go through without my approval, and then I have to decide whether or not to remove the tag.

When I see the requests to add something to my timeline, I have never seen the ability to click like before I’ve added it to my timeline. Hopefully, someone will have a good answer.

Well, I did with someone’s and it seemed that liking it made it appear on my timeline but yeah, maybe tag me in something and we’ll try again.

I tagged you in a Disney photo. We can delete it after the test.

After you “like” it maybe have another friend see if they can see it.

I saw your like. I have other friends liking it too. So far they are only my friends.

Ok – another friend did not see it on my timeline so that is good to know. But it is odd that sometimes things post on my timeline without my approval or a like.

I wonder if it showed on my timeline before you liked it? Probably. So, that means all my friends would be able to see it. It’s still out there in other words if that’s the case.

Do you want to try it again without liking it for a while? I can tell you how it appears on my wall and see if your friends see it. I’m thinking our mutual friends probably can.

I think I had all the review and privacy settings right already, but I did change one thing so that only I can see posts I’m tagged in although I still don’t know if that will stop odd things from getting through. It seems very quirky.

I don’t see that the liking makes a difference if my friends can’t see one I liked they won’t see one I didn’t like surely?

Oh, my mistake. I thought once you liked it then it was showing in your wall. No, you are saying you allow it and then they see it. I was confusing two things.

@JLeslie That was my initial concern but it didn’t show in our test case so cool. Thanks for the help.
