Happy birthday for all you Christmas time babies! My brother that died 2 years ago has a birthday on December 27. As a kid, he felt cheated.

January 4th for me. I turn 46. My birthday is often the first day back to school or work after the holidays and everyone is too broke to celebrate. Good times.

I woke up to a cute card and gift card from my best friend, the card is an Otter with crazy sunglasses on and it says ” Happy Birthday to someone who is not like all the Otters.” haha
Then, last night, our adored stall/paddock cleaner “Taylor” an art student with a pottery studio gave me the most beautiful turquoise glazed Raku pot he threw. I put it in my kitchen with a bunch of colorful handled knives in it. I love it!

Dec 30th is my day. My 90+ year old aunt gave me $10! It used to be $5, I guess she ups the amount every 50th year.

I need to think of good way to spend it, then I can let her know in my thank you note.

My husband asked me today what I want for my birthday. I told him I didn’t know yet. I’m seriously thinking I might take the trip I’ve wanted to do for two years. I want to take the Panama Canal cruise. I wanted to do it with him, but screw it, I might go alone. The problem is I’m pretty sure it’s a rip off when you do a cruise alone, so I might have to find a friend. We’ll see. Only if I can do it last minute cheap.

@JLeslie I have friends that did the Panama canal, they loved it! I want to go to Vietnam and Amsterdam.

@Coloma From the east coast there is a shorter cruise 10 or 11 days, that goes to the canal, but you only do a partial pass, and then you turn right around and go back to the same port, usually Ft. Lauderdale. Saves flying back from the west coast, and less time off from work. For Floridians it’s great for a last minute cheap deal, because a last minute flight to or from CA is usually quite expensive, and takes a whole day in the end. What I don’t know is if you really miss things if you only go halfway? Plus, I wouldn’t mind seeing the Pacific side of Mexico, but I guess I could do that a separate trip.

I too am a Capricorn. Born on the day that most of us go back to school or work after the holidays, my birthday was often forgotten. Here is what I think about January (and late December) birthdays.

This is why a Capricorn Q is justified, because Capricorns especially around the holidays are forgotten. My family never forgot me, and my family is Jewish so the Christmas thing wasn’t as significant, but I also had my birthday when most years we went back to school on that day. Plus, after thanksgiving, Christmas parties, Christmas, Chanukah, and then New Years, people are tired. I’m tired. That’s why I do birthday month all of January. I don’t worry about celebrating on the day, I find things I want throughout January and justify it with my birthday.

Just double-check. I’m not a half-scorpio. I’m a half-sagittarius. Well, this better fits my personality.
