Try washing with your regular detergent, plus about half a cup of borax -- should fix you right up =)

After bpeoples' suggestion, let towels dry in sunlight..

Okay I have tackled this problem and found the cure the following is a lot of work and will take time to do your laundry but well worth it

U will need the following products
*Oxi Clean® Versatile Stain Remover
*bounce dryer sheets

1) Run your washer on prewash with 1 scoop of oxi clean( http://www.oxiclean.com/151616A05products.asp?MainNav=Products&SubNav;=Laundry)
2) Run normal modem with 1 scoop of oxi clean
3) Put the smelly clothes/towels into the washer on prewash with 1 scoop of oxi clean
3) Run normal load with clothes and 1 scoop of oxi clean
4) Put them into the dryer with Bounce dryer sheets (http://walmart.triaddigital.com/Sample/pg_bouncesheets.aspx )
5) Take out and folded...

And there u go no more smelly clothes

Note: it will take 1hr to 2hrs a load lol
But it works I don’t it last night
And even made someone shower to test out the towels

This is how to get mold and mildew out of clothes and how to get the smell of mildew out of clothes SmellyWasher Cleaner is a completely organic powder that is used to clear fungus from any clothes washer. The cleaner is used by adding a small amount (1 tablespoon normally suffices) to a hot setting in your washer and allowing it to complete the cycle.
In order to remove fungus from towels and clothing use just one teaspoon of cleaner instead of detergent. Rinse and dry as normal. This product is super simple and works great! I found it at www.smellytowel.com
