Have you ever misjudged a movie by its title? (NSFW )
I thought that Babe’s in Toyland was NSFW.

Three popular movies I refused to see at first because of their titles but wound up loving were Zac and Miri Make a Porno, Knocked Up, and Trainwreck. All three featured abundant trash talk but also many sweet and touching moments.
Not snce I discovered IMDB.
I knew The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was praised and from the title thought it was about Buddhism or something. I rented it. I would never knowingly get a violent serial killer movie, but it was excellent. Glad I saw it.
Not me, but I remember going to “Endless Summer” at an Adult Movie theater. The ticket line was mostly older guys in raincoats. Went with 4 of my surfing buddies. Most of the raincoats got up and left about 8 minutes into movie, think they were waiting for more skin and something else “Endless”

^^ Yeah. One of the best surfing films ever made, bro. It made me and a whole generation want to pack up and leave for all the obscure surf sites around the world.
The Dirty Dozen, a fine movie in its own right, was not about a sex orgy.
Not really, I don’t put much thought into the title and what it is meant to represent, especially horror movies. I mean just about every zombie movie has the word dead in ot, so…
@Tropical_Willie – I wonder why it was screened in the adult movie theater that resulted in disappointment of the crowd..)
They couldn’t get any other movie houses to run it.
We asked the floor manager when we went in, he went to high school with one of my buddies.
It was Hartford, CT in 1967.
Titles, no, but I’ve misjudged many brilliant films based on their trailers. Which were largely unappealing to me for their focus on the perceptively stupid humor.
Among them are ‘Shrek’, ‘Meet the Robinsons’, ‘Tangled’ and most recently, ‘Kubo and the Two Strings’.
