Can you help me identify this song?

Asked by Mimishu1995 (23800points) January 19th, 2017

I happened to hear it in a department store. It sounded very catchy so I wanted to know its name. I managed to record a part of it actually that’s the end of the song. I didn’t think of recording it earlier, sorry, but hopefully that is enough for you to identify it.

Do you know what that song’s name?

Thanks so much @Seek! I didn’t know my recording is that clear for your app to identify.

And you’ve just introduced me to Shazaam. Right now I’m enjoying the song in your link while looking for a copy of Shazaam to help me with songs in the future.

There are many free versions of Shazam out there. It’s a great tool. I’ve used it at quite a few dance shows when someone is performing to music I don’t recognize.

If you need an online equivalent you can try http://www.midomi.com

Thanks for telling me about. Shazaam. I went to download it and saw that it asked for a lot of permissions. Why does it need: my location Cell ID and GPS, access to the camera device, access the list of accounts in the accounts service, allow application to receive messages via google cloud messaging, plus other things?
I selected SoundHound instead. Fewer permissions. I have not tried it yet.

I love Shazam. My phone (Samsung Galaxy) came with Shazam already in it. Anytime I don’t know a song and want to save it, I shazam it and it’s put on some list. I see I can link the list to FB but I don’t want to do that. What I really want to do, and I know it’s antiquated, is just write the list down on paper. I don’t like the idea of all these things being linked together, plus if for some reason I ever discontinue FB or get rid of my phone, I’ll lose it unless I actually make a Shazam account. I don’t have the Shazam account, just save songs to the phone app.
