Whatever the bird is I always believe the breast part is the best part to eat as that part has the most juicy meat minus the bones. I believe the same part could also be said for Chocobo. How it might taste like? Probably will resemble Moa, as Chocobo is inspired from Moa. However, taste might differ depending on the color of the Chocobo (but please spare Chocolina as it would be ‘inhumane’ to add her in to the menu).

I imagine Chocobo would be more like an ostrich than a turkey, nice red meat due to lots of slow-twitch muscles. Chicken and turkey have white/dark meat due to the fact they don’t move around much. Chocobo are obviously travelling birds, so red-meat. Probably nice and low in calories and cholesterol and high in iron, too.

In that case, I’ll take the backstrap/tenderloin, sliced into medallions. Medium-rare… or if you’ve got a really good searing pan, black and blue.

In Final Fantasy XV you can eat chocobo. Maybe they say what it tastes like in there. Haven’t played it.
I think @Seek gave a great answer on the subject though. We also have to consider the type of chocobo. If you eat a white chocobo from Final Fantasy IV, maybe you gain some temporary magical properties. Since they don’t seem to travel much, perhaps there is a lot of dark meat in those. However if that world has any laws, you’re probably not allowed to kill them as they seem quite rare.

The fat chocobos from the same world aren’t probably any good as they just sit around all day, plus dwarves seem to value them highly. But what are those dwarves going to do about it, since scrap the tanks! There won’t be another war! I wonder how you say that in Khuzdul.

Black chocobo wings are probably the best part since they fly around, and can go round the world in like seven seconds.

Would the red chocobos from Final Fantasy Tactics be spicy, since they use fire attacks? Spicy red chocobo at the sports tavern while you watch your dueling competitions!
